Wanted!!
Do you want to swap your motorhome for a quality production yacht?
After enjoying 5yrs of coastal and ocean sailing, we have decided to move on and swap our fantastic yacht for a motorhome.
It’s a 30ft keel yacht that we’d like to exchange for a fully self-contained
motorhome (NOT A CAMPER VAN, BUS OR TRAILER).
The motorhome would ideally feature the following:
1. Moderate Klm's (rebuilt motor okay if it’s been properly rebuilt)
2. Room to move
3. AC a bonus, not that important
4. Toilet & shower a bonus, not that important
5. Queen bed or bigger, with child-friendly bunk bed desirable
6. Windows aplenty (Must be bright and light, no Coasters though)
7. 4 seat belts
8. Annex
9. 4wd or 4 x 4
10. Registered, good roadworthy condition
Please note: if the motorhome is poor quality and/or over priced, then a swap
is highly unlikely!
Our yacht is worth $40,000 (it has a valuation report of $55,000) so we’d
consider a motorhome from $30,000-up, with cash adjustment.
Yacht specs and pics available on request. It’s clean, well–maintained,
quick, comfortable and a delight to sail. We’ve happily sailed thousands of
coastal and ocean miles in it. It's also a comfortable liveaboard with good
ventilation. New-ish mainsail, spare mainsail, furling headsail, spinnakers,
selection of headsails, large cockpit, five berths, separate toilet, metho
two-burner stove, icebox. 18hp 2-cylinder Volvo diesel fully overhauled four
years ago - tough and reliable. New standing and running rigging 2006 (same
rigger as Jessica Watson's!). Hull respray 2008. Always antifouled by boatyard
professionals.
Being a popular 1980s USA-design (Santana, Gary Mull), the vessel is very
seakindly, easily handled and seaworthy. Australian and Queensland registered.
Many electronics (incl. VHF&HF radio, autohelm, wind, speed, depthsounder...)
and safety extras. Registered mooring negotiable – tackle was replaced last
year. Sailing intro lessons possible if you’re more salt-of-the-earth than
salt-of-the-ocean.
